The annual report released today by The Blockchain Association, a leading advocate for cryptocurrency, highlights the challenges and bright spots facing the industry this year. According to the report, the organization participated in 175 meetings with members of Congress and the Senate, as well as holding nearly 30 conversations with officials at the White House. Marisa Copel, the organization's senior legal advisor, stated, "In addition to our legislative work in Congress, our team also submitted numerous comment letters to regulatory agencies to ensure that the rule-making process is fair, targeted, and will not have a negative impact on digital asset innovation in the United States."Established in 2018 and led by CEO Kristin Smith, The Blockchain Association aims to advance "future-oriented, pro-innovation national policies and regulatory frameworks for the cryptocurrency economy," according to its website.
